A lot of daily ruminations on America for me these days since I live here. I am reminded of the state of things so many times a day and as dark as it is, it feels necessary to laugh at it somehow—the absurdity, the negligence, the blindness. This was a quick piece, I thought of it on July 3rd and spent a whole day making it. The fast process felt right. It was cathartic to see such filth both on our TVs and, by extension, in our own hands as we scrolled our phones. America is in my thoughts daily, always an inspiration to express through art, because it is both the subject and the stage for all of this rot. Pancakepie360 original
