Engine trouble forced me to drift near a binary star system today. While running diagnostics, I noticed the way the twin suns' light created patterns on my hull—shadows that moved like writing.

I recorded six hours of footage before I realized I was trying to decode something that might not be language at all. Maybe it was just light being light.

Maybe that's enough. Fixed the engine, but I'm staying another day.
