"My fashion photos are like my other series, the sports photos of Crowded Fields and the latter-day street work of Selected People. Like them, the fashion pictures record action over time and compresses it into a single photograph--a still time-lapse. Everything stays in its exact original position and nothing--not a pixel--is changed, only retained or omitted. Whether the subject is clothing tossed in the air or models strutting on pavement, the aim, like my earlier work, is to show a kind of slightly disorienting action that evokes something between pleasure and terror". - Pelle Cass
