Here we are embrace your soul, in this storm of disorder. Wrapped up from the chaos of loneliness, we hide the stillness and calm.
the project was born from the desire to tell some of the myths of our society today. Politics, drugs, love, hate and fashion are represented in the background of the Gioeni Park in Catania, using new media techniques such as photography, photo editing and digital collage. Starting from the text and going to take a look at the tableau vivant, each individual represents a part of what the theme is. The first and last verse coincide with a constant endless return; the reading of the image is circular and focuses on the central figure represented by the eternal and sinful love of Paolo and Francesca di Dante, wrapped in a sweet and delicate veil in the flames of the door of hell. Next to them, at the ends of the right and left, the two anthropomorphic figures in suits and ties try to maintain the order represented by the stairs. Some references to a part of the current generation, with extreme tendencies, from selfies in communion to fun with drugs, refer to Théodore Géricault's 1819 work: "The Raft of the Medusa". Further down, we see Mickey Mouse with a bicep band, pleased by the vision of a crime scene, to understand that it was capitalism, something invented by us and that it is actually not tangible to kill what was a man. The tattoos reported by each individual are primitive symbols with no meaning except that of presence: they represent a return to the past, to what we were, or to Homo Sapiens, born 200,000 years ago in Africa. The white undergarments, on the other hand, represent that modesty that we hold within us. Participants were chosen through a call via social networks.
