Yuser Fatena (b. 1996) is a visual artist and architect who creates figurative oil paintings, often incorporating monoprint and acrylic, in which human figures occupy unstable, resistant spaces.Based in Istanbul, Fatena explores the tension between physical space and emotional weight, depicting figures and structures straining to hold their position as their surroundings shift.,
Fatena holds a BA in Architecture and Design from Istanbul Bilgi University, graduating in 2020, after studies centered on urban space, structure and human-scale dynamics.,That training shifted his attention from designing the conditions people live within toward the people living inside them, and painting became the way to address that tension directly. Since 2021 Fatena has worked independently as a full-time artist, treating painting as a physical act of construction and wearing away rather than a purely visual exercise. Working primarily in oil, acrylic and monoprint, he leaves earlier marks of hesitation, pressure and correction visible, so each surface records its own making.
