YUDHO (Indonesian, b. 1990), born Satrio Yudho Pratomo, is a multidisciplinary artist working in digital and physical pixel art.,His style, which he calls “dirty pixels”, treats pixels as living, chaotic elements rather than precise units, merging and moving them into what he calls pointillistic noise.,Through this technique he draws the story of technology and humanity, exploring the boundary between the two.
Yudho trained in painting at art college in Indonesia, an education made possible when his older brother covered tuition his family could not afford. After graduating into a cooled market for young painters, he worked in design and branding for nearly a decade before joining the NFT space in 2021. In 2023 his computer was hacked and his crypto wallet seed phrase stolen, wiping out what he had built.On the advice of fellow artist Sathar, he spent three months mixing his painting skills with pixel art, arriving at the chaotic, hand-drawn pixel style that defines his practice.,
Yudho describes the philosophical tension in his work as “schizo-techno-spiritualism”, the pull between technology as a path to enlightenment and technology as an idol people become dependent on. The lotus that recurs throughout his work represents his family: himself, his wife and their child.
His crypto art series D1RTYPXLS, stylized D̴̢҇1̸͢͡R҉̕͜T̸͜͠Y̶̢͞P̷̧͡X̵͢͡L̶̛͢S҉̧͠, unfolds in hand-drawn loops of white pixels against black space.,In 2025 he showed the monochrome animated works Voidbloom, Godsignal and Husk//Halo in “INSILIO: Inner Sanctuary” at NFT Paris, curated by Sutan for the Cyberforms booth alongside A.L. Crego, Cem Hasimi and Spøgelsesmaskinen.That year his work was also included in Sotheby's Contemporary Discoveries in New York.In 2026 he held his first solo exhibition, “ARTIFACTS”, at RAD Art Space in Bali, translating his digital pixel works into physical objects built from LED displays, steel and Arduino electronics.,,,
