Yakob El-Moussa is a photographer, cinematographer, and glitch artist who combines studio photography and glitch work to create most of his art. He grew up on Vancouver Island and lives in Vancouver, Canada. El-Moussa started taking photographs around age six or seven on family walks, following his father, a photographer, and two sisters who also work in painting and photography.
Before entering the NFT space, El-Moussa worked mainly as a freelance photographer across genres such as lifestyle, product, and architecture, which he found left him too drained to build a personal portfolio. Discovering NFTs, after being introduced to the space by his sister, rekindled his creative drive and gave him the means to build a body of work he considered his own. El-Moussa has minted a collection on the platform SuperRare. He has said he favors black-and-white imagery but has been incorporating color into his minted work in a way that complements it.
