Xeriesjame is a digital artist working in glitch-style animated GIFs, a genre popularized on the blockchain by XCOPY. Their pieces combine still-life imagery with fast-moving, glitching animation. Describing themselves on their profile as a “quiet person”, Xeriesjame began minting digital art on the Tezos blockchain on November 21, 2021.
On SuperRare, a series of animated GIFs titled 9skulls appears alongside individually titled pieces such as The Horned Tyrant in the Downpour and I push a boulder uphill in the pouring rain, which return repeatedly to solitary figures accompanied by dinosaurs in the rain. Other titles on the platform Mallow, such as Dracus The Fallen Angel and The Bull Crucified by Degen, pair religious and mythic imagery with crypto culture references.
