Bio
Violet7rip is a digital artist and musician who releases audio work through Bandcamp and visual, code-themed pieces through NFT platforms, describing the combined practice as an “Audio Visual Monster”. The visual pieces favor a glitch, virus and DOS-computer aesthetic, with titles styled in leetspeak such as D15T0R73D_V1RU5.EXE and Gl17ch_Hydra.exe.
A recurring set of works uses Japanese-language titles rendered as 1-bit pieces, among them 煙.1bit and 守りたい.1bit. On Bandcamp, Violet7rip also releases music, including the albums Prayer for Peace, The Senses and Unison, and the track Bipolarity — the same word rendered in leetspeak as the NFT piece 81P0L4R.EXE.
