Victor Doval is a Spanish artist and trained architect based in Valencia, exploring how light, sound and matter intersect with code. His generative animations and interactive pieces search for a relationship between mathematics and nature that he sees as a source of connection to human essence.
Born in Madrid, Doval moved to Valencia to complete his architecture degree, and took up Processing immediately afterward, using it from 2012 onward across graphic design, web design, architecture and art. He first heard of NFTs in 2018 through an invitation from MakersPlace, uploaded his first work to Rarible in October 2020, and began focusing on the medium after Hic Et Nunc's rise in 2021.
When Hic Et Nunc was discontinued on November 11, 2021, Doval marked the moment with The memory will last, a generative animation minted for the commemorative RIPHEN event in an edition of 50 on Teia. He followed it with The origin is in infinity, a procedural animation released in ten editions on Teia.art.In 2022 he released Identity Layers, an interactive generative series on fxhash that lets a viewer save and redraw the canvas' composition.Doval also joined the group exhibition “Generative Architecture. The Making of a Room” at Verse, showing work made with xnmtrc.
