Víctor Arce

Bio

Víctor Arce is a pixel artist working largely in GIF form, drawn to what he calls “tiny squares and limited color palettes”. In his own words, “there's something magical about it that goes beyond nostalgia”. His work often incorporates program windows and desktop interfaces directly into the image, using them as an explicit framing device.

His work appeared in TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology, published by The Blasted Tree Publishing Co. in August 2025. In March 2026, Arce was one of ten international artists included in “LOOK WHO'S LOOKING”, part of “The Wrong Biennale”, at Siroco Artlab in Madrid, curated by Tales Tommasini. The exhibition explored what it called the artificial gaze, looking at how faces and eyes are shaped within digital systems across AI-generated imagery, 3D scanning and algorithmic processes.
