Vazk0 is a Portuguese multidisciplinary artist based in Lisbonwho combines a background in architecture and communication design with creative coding in JavaScript and Python.His generative compositions balance ordered, grid-like structures against deliberate imperfection, producing labyrinth-like designs marked by a faded texture that evokes time and decay.,
Working under his given name, Vasco,he co-founded and runs a studio producing projection mapping and immersive live installations,an experience that fed his interest in bringing architectural elements into his generative work.He studied communication design and worked professionally in 3D motion graphics before moving into lower-level coding languages to overcome the customisation limits of existing tools. He began experimenting with creative coding in 2021 and started showing the resulting work by late 2022. His influences include the architect Le Corbusier and the artist Zach Lieberman, and he relates his work to Constructivism, Minimalism and Algorithmic Art.
