uyo66, born Suryo Prakadewa, is an illustrator and cartoonist based in Surakarta, Indonesia. He describes his practice as that of a “Rubberhose Dealer”.¹ He creates 1930s-style paintings and animations inspired by early cartoons such as Felix the Cat and Mickey Mouse, giving them a fun and devilish twist. His black and white pieces pay homage to that era, while his color work combines bright hues with a matte finish.²
