Bio
Ümüt Yildiz is an artist who began exploring artificial intelligence in 2018. He makes visual works that catalyze the world of the irrational and the unconscious. His work is characterized by themes of humanism and controversy. He has lectured in Creative Coding in Design at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences and lives in Cologne and Berlin.
Yildiz applies AI to the visual material of original production. The approach introduces the concept of “memory” of the machine, which does not preserve any experience paradigms or culture inherent in human nature. He took part as an exhibitor in the NFT Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Biennale. He has also collaborated with artists including Cro and Bilderbuch.
