Tù.úk'z is the alias of the Brazilian digital artist Arthur Machado, who has worked across glitch art, AI-generated imagery, collage, painting, video and sound since 2012.,Self-described as a “digital artist from the rainforest”, he explores abstraction and psychedelia across a body of work that keeps changing in aesthetics and technique.,
He began drawing and painting at 17, then discovered digital art in 2012 through the Facebook groups “Glitch Artists Collective” and “Free The Pixels”.He describes himself as a “Digital Artist and Hacker Activist” working in the post-internet space, and has taken part in more than twenty exhibitions worldwide since 2014.,In 2015 he became a digital nomad, travelling through several European countries with only a bag and a computer and trading his art for food and lodging. He has since settled in southern Brazil with his family, and began working with NFTs in June 2021, which became his main professional focus.
In his series Rainbowscillator, he said he was “mesmerized” by color itself, and let that fascination drive the work.His collection ESCAPES, a set of 128 editions of ethereal, orb-filled landscapes, was released on Verse Works in June 2024.,Isle of Alcina, a 44-work collection also released on Verse, draws on the sorceress Alcina's island of enchantment and peril.On SuperRare he has released a tarot-themed edition series including Ace of Coins, Ace of Swords, Ace of Cups and Ace of Wands.
In 2024 his work Iridescent Lilies Reflection was included in “Des/Conectados”, a group show organized by Art of This Millennium. The show was assembled after Brazil restricted legal access to X, to support Brazilian digital artists whose community and distribution had relied on that platform.
