TungstenDAO is a collective within NFT culture that takes its name from the tungsten cube, a dense metal object that became a meme among crypto collectors. In 2021, the collective won an auction held by Midwest Tungsten for visiting rights to a 2,000-pound tungsten cube at the company's headquarters, with a winning bid of 56.9 ETH.
The collective is associated with the pseudonymous collector Vincent Van Dough, whose other projects include the web3 gallery Art of This Millennium and the Notable Pepes series.Its members include the investor Maxwell Karlan, previously a co-owner of the crypto investment group KingdomNFT.In October 2021, TungstenDAO acquired it's not that heavy bro by the artist Alpha Centauri Kid, sold through the web3 gallery Art of This Millennium.
