Tornado Rodriguez is an illustrator whose practice centers on what the artist calls “pixelated art” rather than pixel art, made with the software Paint98 in a way the artist compares to “using ink on paper”. Work was included among more than fifty contributors to “TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology”, published by The Blasted Tree Publishing Co. in 2025 as a 200-copy paperback with a foreword by Adrian Pocobelli.
The anthology, edited by Kyle Flemmer, profiled Rodriguez alongside two other contributing pixel artists on the Electric Chronicles website ahead of the book's 2025 publication. The illustration Midnight prediction was featured as a new addition to the collection at Phantom City Gallery, a Houston, Texas-based online digital art gallery. Rodriguez also contributed to Exquisite Loops, a multi-artist collaborative NFT collection on Tezos crediting more than a dozen artists.
