Tony Wallström (b. 1985) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, collage, drawing, digital media, and AI collaborations, exploring existential themes, mental health, memory, and impermanence.,He rarely begins with a fixed idea, instead letting intuition, material, and chance guide each work as he builds paintings from layers of gestures, personal notes, fragments of poetry, and found materials.
Based in Sweden, Wallström held his first solo exhibition, “Untitled”, at Glasets Hus in Limmared in 2021, an event covered by regional Swedish press.,In 2022 he began Eulogies, translating physical oil paintings into 13 unique outputs by filming them in 4K video and processing the footage with code.
Between 2024 and 2025 he took part in several exhibitions staged by the digital art platform Fakewhale, including “ART MARKET: The State of Digital Humanism” on Foundation and “Visual Detachment”, presented with Verse.,,In 2024 he released Liminal States, which he describes as exploring states of both being and non-being, positioned at the threshold between recognition and incomprehensibility.,The following year he released Every way is the right way, a collection of 69 paintings that collectors can reorient by inscribing one of four commands, changing each painting's perceived perspective.,Also in 2025, he began the series A New Language, paintings paired with poems, available through SuperRare.,That year his work was also included in “Contemporary Discoveries”, a group exhibition and auction at Sotheby's in New York.
