THREE PANEL CRIMES is a narrative artist based in California who works in short-form silent comics and animation. Each piece compresses a complete story, beginning, middle and end, into three wordless panels. In the artist's words, “visual language is universal. Anyone can understand and participate in my comics, no matter where they come from or what language they speak”.
In 2022, THREE PANEL CRIMES was commissioned through the UNDRGRND Grant Program, which mints 100 NFTs and airdrops them to its membership cardholders. This tension between comfort and safety recurs across his series Balloon Girl, whose three-panel structure subverts the viewer's expectation of danger. In Institutionalized, he follows a figure from arrest through incarceration to release.
