The Tickle is a weekly arts magazine published as an NFT on the Tezos blockchain, showcasing contemporary digital art and creative writing since 2022. Each issue features in-depth interviews with three artists alongside the poems, prose poems, or short stories of one writer.
The magazine celebrated its first anniversary with the release of its 52nd weekly issue on 1 July 2023, and has since expanded to include The Tickle Lit, a quarterly journal of long-form creative writing also minted as an NFT on Tezos. Individual issues have also been released as limited-edition artworks acting as magazine subscriptions, and a companion weekly podcast features extended interviews with the artists and writers involved. The Tickle has attended and reported on international art events including Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach, and is supported by the Tezos Foundation and the Tezos NFT platform Objkt.com.
In October 2023, The Tickle moderated a series of live art talks at “Node to Node”, a physical exhibition of generative and AI art staged by Kate Vass Galerie in Paris, hosting conversations with artists including Kevin Abosch, William Mapan, Iskra Velitchkova, and Zancan.
