The Isolationist is an artist who creates faceless silhouette figures exploring identity, alienation and anonymity. The Isolationist's first mint, Man In Balaclava, appeared on Tezos on July 9, 2021, as a commissioned piece depicting a masked figure smoking a cigarette without facial features.
The Isolationist's work has been described as marrying physical and digital landscapes, using the empty, faceless form to invite viewers to project their own experience and identity onto it. The Isolationist also took part in “Eidetic Memory”, a group show curated by Gary Edward Blum.
