Thais Silva is a Brazilian designer and visual artist who works in collage. Her work centers striking figures within compositions of floral elements and vibrant color, using recurring round shapes and obscured faces to explore ancestral culture, indigenous tribes, and rituals connected to African diaspora life in Brazil.
Her collage ESCARIFICAÇÃO, whose title means scarification, depicts a woman in a confident posture with an intricate pattern of scars on her back echoed by florals in the background. It was included in Electric Artefacts' November 2021 roundup of notable Tezos NFT releases.
