Teto is a French artist and developerworking across generative systems, onchain media and AI, treating screens, interfaces and collector behavior as artistic material.,Since his 2021 avatar project Creepz, an onchain NFT project on Ethereum whose SVG-and-CSS visuals keep moving rather than sitting as static images,his practice has moved through generative, protocol-based work that frames the artwork itself as a living system.,
Creepz let collectors randomize traits before minting, folding the mint process itself into the artwork — a forward-looking mechanic for 2021.That year he also released the series Divergence, Dystolepsia and Presence, developing a visual language of eyes, selfhood and manipulated image surfaces that carried into RÆMINISCENCE in 2022.,He is also part of the francophone collective 1789, which held its debut group exhibition at Galerie Schwab Beaubourg in Paris in 2022.In 2023 he presented Panopticon, a long-form generative series coded in p5.js and generated onchain on Ethereum, built around a recurring visual field of eyes, avatars, cities and fractured space, drawing on science-fiction and anime touchstones from George Orwell to Akira.In late 2023 he released a generative art collection made in partnership with FingerprintsDAO.
In 2024 he released Post Mortem, in which participants answer difficult ethical questions — among them whether to accept organs obtained through illegal trafficking, or whether to favor degrowth or technosolutionism against climate change.Their answers shape a generative artwork that grows from a symbolic seed and is revealed later, with visual elements drawing on Vincent van Gogh and John Martin.,In 2025 he released Monolith on Base, an authorless, collectively edited AI sculpture in which participants alter individual words of a shared prompt.,Each change costs progressively more and pays a share back to the participant whose word is replaced, and every update mints a new ERC-1155 edition documenting the sculpture's evolution.Teto also co-founded TokenWorks, an onchain laboratory whose projects include Punk Strategy, an NFT-and-token mechanism that became its own category on CoinGecko, and FundingWorks, a streaming-crowdfunding system that lets collectors burn their NFT to reclaim unused funds.
