Tamara Moura Costa (b. 1996) is an interdisciplinary artist who works across generative systems, live visuals and physical installations. Her practice is guided by curiosity and play, and she writes code with tools such as Processing and p5.js. She graduated in Electronic Arts at Tres de Febrero University in Buenos Aires, where she first encountered Processing.
Moura Costa was born in Buenos Aires and spent some time living in Salvador, Brazil. A background in classical music and guitar sits alongside her description of the elements she works with as notes in a musical composition. Her inspirations in video mapping and live visuals include Ryoji Ikeda, Olafur Eliasson and Joanie Lemercier. She has also made concrete and resin pieces that combine LCD screens, microcontrollers and laser-printed acrylics. Her work has been exhibited in Belgium, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Madrid, Montreal, Paris and Venice.
