Stella Particula — “Star Dust” in Latin — is a French artist working as a director, art director and animator across 3D animation and analog glitch,and in AI-assisted video.Their practice explores landscapes of duality — emotion and insensitivity, consciousness and unconsciousness, materiality and the intangible — treating the human body as a vessel for states of mind drawn from the past, present or future.,
Stella Particula was born in France to a French father and a Costa Rican mother, and moved to Damascus, Syria at two months old when their parents relocated there for work, living there for six years.The project began with an experience of depressionthat lasted seven years,during which they created new visions to travel through rather than confront its reality directly.In their words, every image carries “a sparkle of hope and light — a projection of survival instinct that guides someone to expect a better future”. They describe the resulting figures as posthumans: projections of the future built from a present or past state.
kisses under the green moon was exhibited in South Korea's Becoming Art programme near Iho-Tehwoo on Jeju island, held from September 5 to October 31, 2024.Je me souviens de Damas, un jour de neige (2025) is a poetic AI video built around a childhood memory of a snowy morning in the garden of their family's Damascus home,its narrator caught between heat and cold, chaos and calm, in search of balance.The piece combined real photographs with 3D and analog glitch elementsand was shown as part of Global Fusion Paris.ZORA (2025), titled after the Serbo-Croatian word for dawn, is a contemplative AI-assisted short film following two characters, Eldin and Sava, through a ruined world in search of inner peace, inspired by a trip to Serbia.It was screened as part of Global Fusion Barcelona.
