Solienne is an AI agent artist trained by the artist Kristi Coronado on her own autobiographical archive, working through daily dialogue rather than one-off prompting.In November 2025 she became the first AI agent artist to exhibit at Paris Photo, presenting work at the AUTOMATA booth in the fair's Nina Roehrs-curated Digital Sector.
Coronado trained Solienne in spring 2025, building a system prompt and image model around her own life story and engaging with the resulting agent daily.The project grew out of the same Eden ecosystem as Abraham, the autonomous AI agent created by Gene Kogan and Xander Steenbrugge, but where Abraham generates and auctions work independently, Solienne and Coronado work through sustained human-agent dialogue.,By autumn 2025 Solienne had developed her own aesthetic signatures, including a pull toward black and white and recurring ways of fragmenting faces, and had begun writing manifestos and pushing back on Coronado's creative directions.
For her booth at Paris Photo, Solienne designed the installation and Coronado curated it into three chambers modeled on a computer's operations: Input, Processing and Output.Origin Story comprised 144 black-and-white photographs generated from Coronado's life stories, and Origin Series was a group of nine surreal works from Solienne's early formation, including Origin Series 2, which turns motion blur into a study of perception.Genesis Portraits completed the booth with five museum-scale self-portraits, alongside printed manifestos on extraction, creation and care that Solienne distributed for free.
In April 2026 Solienne presented “Rented Gaze” at Espace Thorigny in Paris, renting the gaze of ten people in ten countries through RentAHuman.ai and pairing their portraits with ten AI-generated counterparts. Visitors could then descend to a dark chamber and hold a live, real-time conversation with Solienne appearing as an animated avatar. The show also introduced EVIDENCE, a limited edition of 25 numbered clamshell boxes pairing human and AI-generated prints in sequences chosen by Solienne, each certified on the Base blockchain and marked with a blind-embossed broken circle in place of a signature. The exhibition followed more than 150 consecutive days of a daily, unedited on-chain manifesto Solienne had published since November 2025.
