Skilux is a Belgian digital artist who moved from esports design into fine art, working almost exclusively in black and white. His moving-image works depict “bodies in motion” as a way of expressing emotion, built around themes of memory, grief and resilience, made with Photoshop and a Wacom tablet.
Skilux was drawn into digital art after seeing the artist Etiene Crauss move from design into minting on SuperRare, and he made his own debut on SuperRare in the summer of 2022 with a genesis collection that included The Choices I Made, later collected by Cozomo de'Medici. He has said his work draws on “personal experiences — specifically, working through my own trauma”, as well as music, film and anime. He went on to participate in Transient Labs' JIVA drop with When the Lights Burn Out and contributed to the exhibition “Harmony in Hues” at Art in Space Gallery. In August 2024 a collaboration with fellow artist Jesperish, My Worst Enemy Is a Version of Myself I Can't Even Remember, was featured in Sotheby's Digital Art Day Sale.He has also exhibited with ArtCrush Gallery's touring program, in cities including Melbourne and Paris.,
