Six N Five is the pseudonym and creative studio of Ezequiel Pini, an Argentinian digital artist based in Barcelona.,He builds hyperreal 3D landscapes and interiors where architecture and nature coexist, often left conspicuously empty of people. This absence is intentional. Pini leaves part of each scene's meaning open to the viewer's imagination.
Pini grew up in Argentina and studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires, later working as a web developer and designer before moving into 2D and then self-taught 3D animation. He founded Six N Five around 2014, naming the studio for 6:05, the hour he used to get home from agency work to make his own. As international commissions grew, he relocated the studio to Barcelona.
Six N Five has designed Windows 11 and Surface wallpapers on commission from Microsoft, and has worked with clients including Nike, Samsung and Uniqlo.,Developed from 2019 and released in May 2021 on Nifty Gateway, Pini's collaboration with artist Daniel Arsham comprises ten digital sculptures that erode and resurrect over the changing seasons. In The Japanese Garden (2021), Pini combined birch wood and mountainous landscapes with elements of Japanese architecture and floral arrangement into a hyperreal, unpeopled scene. Make Room for Us (2022) alludes to humanity's impact on the environment, while The Circle (2022) shows a single chair facing a landscape as an evocation of time and memory.
