Serezha Galkin, formerly known as Graphica.PNG, is a Moscow-based artist who has worked with digital tools for about 15 years, continually adopting new techniques. His practice centers on minimalistic, AI-based glitch work that juxtaposes uncanny imagery to comment on the fragile and intricate nature of reality.
In Spectramnesia, a series of GIFs inspired by the Mandela Effect, dreams and distortion, he simulates rather than tells narratives, mixing office and business imagery with mysticism and surreal landscapes. Insomniphoria is a sequel to Spectramnesia that pushes the same fascination with false memory further, into a state where wakefulness and hallucination merge. The collection draws a parallel between human memory and digital systems, comparing thoughts that will not fade to corrupted files and persistent cookies. Topology of a Dream explores digital escapism and nostalgia for the early, less controlled internet, picturing avatars and digital traces as fragments of the people who made them.Galkin's work was included in Fakewhale's group exhibition “ART MARKET: The State of Digital Humanism” on Foundation in September 2024, and released on Objkt as part of an ART MARKET debut in February 2024.,
