Second Realm is the pseudonym of the artist Eric Rhodes, one of the early crypto artists to work with appropriated and remixed digital imagery in the Trash Art movement.,He partnered with SuperRare as one of its earliest artists in 2019.
By 2021 he was known as the founder of Unofficial Punks, a derivative collection built on the CryptoPunks template, and as a “Trash Art anthropologist” who had just released SINthesis Avatars, a collection of 100 one-of-one avatars.His work was included in group exhibitions such as “#Trashart: NFT Garbology” at L'Avant Galerie Vossen in Paris in 2022 and “A Fylthy Trash Art Exhibition” at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles the same year.,In 2021 his work entered the Museum of Crypto Art's permanent collection.
His later work turned toward onchain systems built with artificial intelligence: in 2024 he developed Primitives, a blockchain protocol and visual language for encoding emotion, color and structure into modular, composable onchain art. In 2026 he began Mortal Prophet, a collaborative worldbuilding project with an AI collaborator known as Iris Dayrise, exploring artifacts, narratives and synthetic myth through iterative dialogue.,
