Sebastián Brocher is a computer engineer and entrepreneur who created CryptoArte in 2018, one of the first generative art collections on Ethereum, which later became his own artist name. Each painting in the collection is a unique, single-edition work that depicts a specific span of Ethereum's history, rendered from 576 consecutive blocks of the blockchain.
At age six, Brocher's father introduced him to computing on a Commodore 128. Together they coded a program that played a J. S. Bach invention, sparking a lifelong pull between art and computer science. Nature, physics, mathematics and computer science recur across his work as both inspiration and foundation. Beyond CryptoArte, Brocher has released Fluiroso and Rotor on Art Blocks, Norte and Palabras on StudioUno, and Ethereum Lovers on Foundation. Born in Buenos Aires, Brocher trained in classical piano before turning to jazz and blues piano and guitar, and is based in Austin, Texas.
