Bio

Seba Cestaro blends abstraction and surrealism, reshaping everyday scenes into surreal compositions where abstract shapes and figures merge. Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he works as an illustrator and artist exploring the tension between form and colour. His editorial work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, Wired and The Guardian.

Alongside commercial illustration, Cestaro makes personal collections that carry the same abstract, surreal visual language.^,^, Equilibrium explores balance through characters and abstract shapes. Find yourself studies human nature from its most abstract side, centred on finding an inner voice among thoughts and feelings. Gates is a series of animations about thinking slowly. In Memories from another life, he represents memories held in the human unconscious as colourful, abstract and surreal scenes composed of people, objects and abstract shapes.

Cestaro is represented worldwide by the illustration agency Jacky Winter. His work has been shown at the “Seoul Illustration Fair” in 2019 and at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris in 2024.
