Sean Bonner is a Tokyo-based artist, photographer, and writer who has worked across street photography and experimental music,,and makes blockchain-based art centered on the CryptoPunks community.,He has been described as “a fixture of early Tezos-era digital art and community building”.
Bonner co-founded the Los Angeles gallery sixspace, which from 2003 to 2006 exhibited artists including Shepard Fairey, Glen E. Friedman, and Space Invader. He has published two photography books, Don't Go Outside, Tokyo street photographs released in 2017, and Unfinished Projects, from 2024.,He also makes music under the names DRØNEWAR and Delay 5000, and worked with DJ Muggs to co-create the virtual musician 8tari Lofi Punk.
In February 2024 he released Two Bit Punks, a collection of 512 tokens on Foundation in which each token pairs two blocks of color drawn from the traits of a specific CryptoPunk.That same year Bonner co-authored and co-edited CRYPTOPUNKS: Free To Claim, published by Phaidon.,His work was included in “Art of Punk”, a 2024-2025 group exhibition at the Museum Francisco Carolinum in Linz, Austria, that presented work only by artists who own one or more CryptoPunks.He also wrote PUNKS NOT DED BOOK (2025).,
