Rikkar is an artist who works with artificial intelligence, describing the practice as manipulating AI and pixels to make art. Rikkar is a member of the OMEN Art Collective, a group of AI artists building a community within the NFT space. Since late November 2023, Rikkar has also published a weekly newsletter, The Digital Easel, saying it grew from a wish to “share the learning journey” into art history.
Each issue pairs an artist spotlight on a historical figure with a recurring Collectors Corner on contemporary work. Spotlighted historical artists have included Edward Hopper, Max Ernst, and Basquiat. In March 2024, issue 17's Collectors Corner featured the artist Sondra Bernstein, also known as 4everKurious, and issue 19 followed two weeks later with a full Artist Spotlight on Bernstein's practice.
