Bio

Reva Fan is a Chinese generative artist based in Beijing whose work explores the relationship between human nature and technology by weaving traditional Chinese culture into algorithmic art. Formerly an algorithm engineer in the film, VR and AR industries, including a stint at China Film Group, she taught herself generative art in 2018 before turning to it full time as a freelance artist.^,

In 2021 she co-founded WeirDAO, a decentralized collective for independent crypto artists, alongside Sleepy, IOYOI and Niq. Before working in NFTs, she created real-time interactive installations in Beijing, including a Kinect-based light-graffiti piece, Re-filtrate, in 2018, and a boxing-motion projection for the Beijing Fight Club, Color Fight, in 2019. Her genesis Art Blocks project, Through the Window, minted from November 2021, uses algorithms inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and painting to generate window lattices, blossoming trees, rain and snow.

Endless Ballad, released on Highlight, is an infinite-scroll generative series of algorithmically generated village scenes driven by a random-walk algorithm, in which multiple mints by the same collector connect into a continuous panorama. Her work has been included in group exhibitions such as “Silicon-based: New Creator” at Tang Contemporary Art's Beijing 2nd Space in 2025, and she has been named, alongside Raven Kwok, as one of few Beijing-based digital artists with international recognition.^,
