Reptile is a generative artist working with code, releasing algorithmically produced work on fxhash.xyz, a generative art platform built on Tezos. Reptile's project Melodic, described by the artist as “a visual exploration of geometric harmony”, arranges blocklike shapes in an isometric space that repeat and rearrange within an endless grid.
Reptile has also created Glyph, a generative artwork built on cellular automata that turns simple binary rules into layered, multi-colored compositions, with each cell rendered through one of 46 possible drawing modes ranging from geometric shapes to organic splatters. Individual editions of Glyph are minted on the platform EditArt, each one, in the artist's words, “a personal emblem of computational creativity”.
