RedruM is an AI artist whose work is defined by a deep, commanding use of red,exploring dualities of good and evil, light and shadow, and the grotesque and the beautiful.His AI creations have been described as sitting “between dream and nightmare”, pulling viewers into their tension and complexity.
RedruM comes from a family of collectors and grew up around exhibitions and galleries. Before turning to art full time, he practiced law. Friends introduced him to digital art. The June 2022 release of his work MJ marked the turning point that led him to leave law and become a full-time artist. The arrival of AI art tools gave him a new creative outlet, letting him bring to life visions that had previously stayed only in his imagination.
RedruM's series CLEAVE consists of 64 permutations recursively generated from eight original landscapes split in half. He chose landscapes over portraits because they hold meaning quietly, through layers and atmosphere, rather than through a figure's expression.Released on Bitcoin through the Gamma platform,the series treats splitting and rebinding as a single continuous idea, exploring duality as coexistence rather than opposition.RedruM was featured as the artist for LVCIDIA's FLUX series.In 2023, he was named among six emerging AI artists to watch.
