ranxdeer is a digital artist who works primarily in 3D, using color and gradients to create illusions of depth, elevation, motion and weightlessness. Several series explore visual distortion, and one, Artificial, applies artificial intelligence to the artist's 3D work. Recurring across these series is an interest in hidden meaning, the idea that what is shown can conceal another image or reading.
The series Ascend and Descend use color and gradient interplay to suggest luminosity and elevation, or space, depth and gravity, in each direction. Dimensions is built from a single 3D space setup, with each work zooming into a different element to create a new perspective on the same scene. Liquid combines abstract and figurative shapes and textures to suggest movement and distortion. Dreams, made with matiasromanoaleman, combines ranxdeer's 3D environments with Matias's 2D drawing, using the contrast between their processes as the work's defining feature.
In March 2025, ranxdeer's work was included in “Visual Detachment”, a 24-artist group exhibition curated by Fakewhale on Verse examining biases in visual perception, released as a 48-hour ranked auction. In June 2025, the artist released Mirrors, an edition of 23 one-of-one digital works, on the platform Gamma, priced in BTC.
