Bio

Poperbu is a generative artist based in Barcelona who creates abstract audiovisual compositions with Pure Data and Hydra videosynth.^, The artist Sebastian Rojas, in an interview, described poperbu's practice as a stream of raw, ever-changing visual and sound pieces released on a weekly basis.

In 2025 poperbu took part in “Més enllà de la pantalla”, the second edition of the Barcelona Generative Art Exhibition (MAGBa), held at Palo Alto Barcelona alongside thirteen other artists working with code, algorithms and autonomous systems. In the accompanying artist statements, poperbu said that finding the balance between order and chaos in a piece of generative art was what drew them to the practice.^, Poperbu returned in 2026 for “MAGBa3 - Orígens”, a group show in which each participant reinterpreted a work chosen from the 1976-78 run of the magazine Computer Graphics and Art.^,
