Petra Voice is a digital artist who uses artificial intelligence to create hyperreal portraits of women, giving each image a sense of femininity, emotional depth and grace.She trains her own AI models on her earlier artworks and sketches, calling the process layered and experimental. Her father was a painter, and she grew up surrounded by canvases and art books before choosing to study cultural management rather than painting.
In 2023 Petra Voice contributed Overloaded to “E-motions”, a 26-artist show at Unit London curated by Claire Silver. Through a continuous glitch effect, the piece depicts a figure struggling to keep pace with constant notifications and deadlines, evoking a wish for a pause from ubiquitous networking.
Her earlier series Babes paired a soft blur with dreamy, atmospheric portraits, an aesthetic she carried into later work.In 2025 she released RADII8, a five-piece collection on objkt of glowing, heatmap-styled portraits extending the ethereal glow already central to her visual identity. She has described the series as exploring “the quiet energy within us”, working with a custom model trained on blurred color imagery, painterly smudges and elements from her earlier Babes models. She has said “training a model is not the same as stealing from artists”, and that thought, taste, editing and curation remain human contributions behind each AI-assisted image.
