Bio
Paul Moon is a landscape and natural history photographer based in the East Riding of Yorkshire. For over 20 years he has photographed the Yorkshire Wolds, the most northerly chalk outcrop on the UK mainland. His images range from wide views across the chalk dales to close studies of the area's plants and trees.
The Wolds' dry valleys were carved by meltwater rivers during a past ice age and shelter wildflower meadows and ancient woodland such as Millington Wood. In his own words, “I'm a great believer in the power of photography to educate and to inspire people to look closely, and with a sense of wonder, at the beauty and variety of our wonderful English countryside.”
