Palancus, also working under his own name David Perez, is an artist based in Tanneron, in the south of France, whose practice moves between digital images and tangible sculpture in bronze and iron.,In his own words, he likes to “bring back fading images” and turn the viewer into an active participant by playing with perception.
He experiments across many processes, from small image details reworked into new pieces to auto-generated natural forms, lino cutting, acid engraving, and bronze and iron sculpture. He trained as a landscaping architect before working as an artist.On the digital art platform NEORT, he describes himself as a “plastician exploring digital world and tangible sculptures”.
Between 2012 and 2015 he showed work at L'Atelier de Vallauris, Neo Art Gallery, the Festival du Peu, and an art gallery show in Monaco.In July 2025 he took part in “Forged in Data” in Cannes, a group exhibition organized by Galerie Data and Forgio that paired generative digital series and plotter drawings with bronze, ceramic, and wood sculptures translated from digital concepts into physical form.,
