p4stoboy is a generative artist who works with code, shaders and games,creating abstract landscapes and cityscapes with rotated square bases rendered in isometric perspective.Outside the studio, p4stoboy works as a staff engineer in artificial intelligence, while describing the art practice as generative work made without AI.
On the platform fxhash, p4stoboy released the generative project Corium.In August 2024, p4stoboy released FAIRIES as an open edition on fx(hash). The collection presents vibrant color blocks in a dynamic, grid-like composition that nonetheless feels fluid, with varied density and layering creating an intricate, cityscape-like depth.
p4stoboy has also collaborated with the artist Andrew Strauss on Ides of March. The series builds on Strauss's 2021 series Utopias of the Damned, an homage to his hometown of Canberra. For Ides of March, p4stoboy designed a programmatic framework governing the interaction of structure, space and light, realised isometrically. Within that system, each structure's shape and position is influenced by its neighbours.
