Other World is an Armenian, Los Angeles-based digital artist who reimagines Renaissance-era paintings into new scenes populated by his own hooded characters, which he calls fiends.,,His motto, “Dark art with bright colors”, captures a practice built on contrasts between old and new, tragedy and humour, violence and hope.,He keeps most of his personal identity anonymous, preferring that viewers focus on the work itself.
He began posting collage-based digital art on Instagram and Twitter during the COVID-19 pandemic, gradually developing more detailed, larger-scale pieces and discovering NFTs after seeing other artists sell their work on-chain.,The hooded fiend characters emerged gradually from a single cloaked figure he had colored into an existing recreation, and he has described them as a mirror of the darker, natural side of humanity.Alongside his art career he completed a PhD in biomedical engineering, a background he has said shapes his view of morality and unconsciously informs his work.
In February 2024 his first solo exhibition, “Visions”, was presented by PROOF, the web3 community acquired by Yuga Labs that month, with his digital works shown in printed form at Soho House West Hollywood. The 2024 collection included Believe Again, a work centered on a radiating angel that the artist has called his favourite from the series and a reminder that “through all the tragedy there is still hope”. The same year, Avant Arte released his print Dogs of War in an edition of 25, a reinterpretation of the 19th-century painting The Wild Hunt of Odin by Peter Nicolai Arbo, in which his fiends charge across the sky on horseback. In March 2026 he released Machina through Fellowship's daily.xyz platform.
