Oscar Civit, who works as CIVIT, is a Barcelona-area artist whose original work spans abstract and figurative painting, illustration and digital art. He worked in advertising studios and agencies from 2002 to 2010 before becoming a freelance artist in 2009. In 2006 he began working as a VJ, creating video art for live performances.
He performed twice with Colectivo Microbcn at Caixaforum in Barcelona and aboard the NAUMON, the boat of La Fura dels Baus, both in 2007. He played a VJ set on the Vice stage at Primavera Sound in 2008. Between 2010 and 2011 he curated video programming for the first edition of Festival Mira in Barcelona. He continued performing as a VJ at venues including Nitsa between 2010 and 2012. He has also created live visuals for the rock band Pacosan between 2015 and 2019, for InvadersDjs since 2018, and for the electronic pop band Artificio since 2024.
Between 2014 and 2021 he held solo exhibitions of illustration and painting in small venues around Vilanova i la Geltrú, near Barcelona. In 2022 he curated and organized “NFT.BCN” at the Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona, where he also showed work in the accompanying group exhibition. In 2023 he curated and organized “Art Digital Vilanova” at the Centre Cultural La Sala in Vilanova i la Geltrú.In 2024, alongside the curator Betty Bigas, he co-curated the “Digital Corner” exhibition at Nestlé's Barcelona headquarters, where he also showed a piece of his own.,
That same year he took part in the group exhibition “X Amor” with two paintings, B4rr1 and Haruu, and a video artwork. He held a solo exhibition of his abstract series at Lotus VNG in 2024. In 2025 he presented a solo exhibition of portraits, “Amb un 6 i un 4”, at El Rebost VNG. In 2026 he showed a further abstract series, “Cartografies Fluides”, at Casa Virella.
