George Goodwin is a UK-based digital artist and illustrator who works under the name OMGiDRAWEDit, known for densely layered, maximalist paintings that combine humour, internet culture and emotional vulnerability into chaotic narrative worlds.,He works without internal visual imagery, approaching each piece intuitively by following what he calls his internal vocal noise until the image reveals itself.
Goodwin worked for years as a hairdresser, an experience that shaped his sense of colour.,He also spent years as a commercial illustrator, working through pencil drafts, lightbox line work and Photoshop clean-up before switching to an iPad Pro.When Hic et Nunc launched in 2021, he began releasing work there and built a following on Tezos through densely layered, nostalgia-inflected scenes.,His Bedroom Nostalgia series reconstructs intimate, formative environments, while in another project he sketched Japan from imagined memories despite never having travelled there.
In 2021 he released Tezzardz, a 4,200-piece PFP collection generated from 97 hand-drawn traits and issued as the first-ever release on objkt.com.,Conceived partly as a provocation, the collection kept the drawing itself, rather than roadmaps or branding, at the centre, and its success later informed Mark Knol's Smolskulls project.,The project also earned him recognition as NFT Morning's featured artist of the week.
His work has been shown at Art Basel, Nguyen Wahed Gallery in New York, NFC Lisbon and the Zhejiang Museum of Art in China. As part of the second objkt Labs Residency, he built two drawing apps of his own, Seed Paint and Glitch Studio. He used them to make Hopelessly Devoted Doomscroll, a body of work reflecting on living through war, political instability and the transformation of the internet.He has also taken part as a guest artist in Jenni Pasanen's Advent Collaboration, a 24-day series of one-of-one artworks hosted through Transient Labs.
