Ole Fach (b. 1980) is an architect and conceptual artist investigating the networking of the internet, architecture, society and new media.,Almost all of his art practice — websites, performances, installations, screenings and GIFs — has been made in collaboration with the artist Kim Asendorf, exploring how digital and networked systems reflect cultural change.,,
Fach and Asendorf founded the Fach & Asendorf Gallery in 2010, an online exhibition space built as a custom website rather than a traditional white cube, hosting monthly solo and group shows by artists such as Nicolas Sassoon, Sara Ludy and Jan Robert Leegte.,The pair's collaborative Tumblr project Gezi gelen Limon, 2013, used Photoshop's tools to digitally erase violence — police, weapons — from images of the Taksim Gezi Park protests in Istanbul, then reposted the altered pictures alongside the real-time stream of the unfolding events. The project was later shown in the exhibition “global aCtIVISm” at ZKM Center for Art and Media.
In 2014 Fach's video self-portrait was included in “National #Selfie Portrait Gallery” at Moving Image in London, curated by Kyle Chayka and Marina Galperina alongside artists including Petra Cortright and Kim Asendorf.In Computer's World, a 2015 exhibition at Carroll / Fletcher gallery in London, Fach and Asendorf imagined a fictive world in which computers can look, analyse, archive and feel, staging how the physical world might appear through digital eyes. For Transmediale festival 2015, the pair co-curated “Long Distance Gallery” at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, inviting sixteen artists to present work on flags hoisted in the name of digital art.Among his few solo-credited works, Googlematism showed at the Unpainted media art fair in Munich in 2016.Both artists live and work in Berlin.
