Bio

Andrew Erickson, known as aotearoan, is a generative artist who creates on-chain generative art on Ethereum, deriving abstract compositions from individual wallet addresses. His work explores how personal and pseudonymous identity can coexist online, treating each Ethereum address as a unique, generated signature.

His Fingerprint collection renders Ethereum addresses as abstract, fingerprint-inspired compositions stored entirely on-chain. He followed it with the Signature series, comprising Signature Primitives, Signature Lineations and Signature Alternates. Each collection turns a wallet address into a unique, on-chain generated SVG, with minting of each style limited to one per address. Minting proceeds for Fingerprint, Signature Primitives and Signature Lineations were structured to donate 25% weekly to the official Ukraine ETH charitable account.

He has also released work through the platforms Highlight, Rodeo and fxhash, and maintains a presence on the Farcaster client Warpcast.
