Nora Hase, known as objektpermanenz, is a German multidisciplinary artist who works across photography, collage, creative coding, artificial intelligence, sound and animation. Through experimental use of these tools, they interrogate static societal ideas of memory, perception and identity. Photography remains central to their practice even as they grapple with its limitations, pushing against its static, two-dimensional incompleteness while questioning the truthfulness it is assumed to carry.
Based in Cologne, Germany, Hase has exhibited since 2021, including in the group show “Hairy Stories” at Kunsthalle Bremen. In 2023, their work appeared in “#CONTINUUMDALI”, a group show organized by Claire Silver, Accelerate Art and Oliver Halsman Rosenberg in Barcelona and Paris. In 2024, they held a solo show, “One Thing is One Thing (And Not Another)”, with Fellowship AI.
