noper (b. 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist based in St. Petersburg, Florida, who combines AI-generated video and imagery with a background in traditional drawing, photography, music, and film and television set work. Since beginning to work with AI in 2022, he has developed a style often described as “Florida-core” and “sun-bleached”, built from glitch textures and VHS-inspired distortion.
In 2023 his work appeared in “E-motions”, a 26-artist exhibition curated by Claire Silver at Unit London exploring AI-assisted art and post-internet aesthetics, for which he depicted a seagull in flight to evoke freedom and agency.
In naturalorder, 2024, he layered AI-generated video into chaotic overlays exploring the co-dependent relationship between people and nature, suggesting a dream state in which time, space, and matter blend.His series Trapped JPEGs, 2024, gathers imagined worlds drawn from memory, dreams, and everyday impressions, a body of work he has described as growing out of a need to escape reality.
In Terrestrial Factors, 2025, he used AI to build meticulously detailed, dimension-like digital scenes, which he has said let him achieve a level of realism previously beyond his reach.That year he also collaborated with the artist cydr on Rare Fish Market, a satirical tokenized fish collection that pokes fun at crypto speculation and climate anxiety.
